There’s Oil on That

Use what you have. That is all there really is to it. Maybe, just maybe, it is not about the need to acquire more resources and materials to be successful, but you need to use what you already have. Ask yourself, ‘What is in my hands?‘ Everything you need to be successful in any capacity is already in your hands. You need to see yourself and your circumstances from a higher perspective. You also need to look outward, instead of focusing solely inward on yourself. When you begin to connect with the world and people around you, you gain a bigger perspective. I say this as someone who also desires more, but I want to be resourceful and creative with my current circumstances. Life is always shifting, so what feels insignificant today could become tomorrow’s greatest need or breakthrough. Continue to press forward, be creative, do it with joy and no expectation, and may every seed you plant in faith return to you 10-fold.

You don’t need perfect conditions to start; you just need obedience, vision, and a little faith. Start with what’s already in your hands. That idea, that gift, that story, that testimony. The very thing you’ve been overlooking might be the very thing God wants to use. I know what it’s like to feel like you’re not ready, like you’re lacking, like you need just one more thing before you begin. But what if you already have enough? What if you’ve always had enough? God doesn’t wait for perfection; He blesses our willingness. You may be waiting on more, but heaven is waiting on you to move. Take the first step. Speak the words. Create the thing. Do it scared, do it unsure, but do it anyway. Because that small, shaky seed of faith? It carries the weight of a harvest you can’t yet see.
